Eva Golinger is a prolific writer and investigative journalist, author of six books and host of two shows on RT Spanish, an international television network. Eva's first book, The Chavez Code, details the U.S. government role in the 2002 coup d'etat against President Hugo Chavez in Venezuela. Using the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Eva uncovered thousands of U.S. government agency documents, including Top Secret CIA reports, evidencing Washington's financing and support of efforts to overthrow the democratically-elected Chavez. The Chavez Code has been published in English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Russian, Turkish and Farsi, and has been optioned for a feature film.
Eva's other books include: Bush vs. Chavez: Washington's War on Venezuela (Monthly Review Press); La Agresión Permanente: USAID, NED, CIA (Monte Ávila Editores); La Telaraña Imperial: Enciclopedia de Injerencia y Subversión (Monte Ávile Editores); La Mirada del Imperio sobre el 4F (Editorial IDEA); and La cuestión colombo-venezolano (Editorial IPASME). She is currently working on a book about her experiences as a trusted friend and advisor to Hugo Chavez.
